At the VFR Foundation, impact isn’t measured in dollars—it’s measured in lives changed, futures built, and communities strengthened.

Through scholarships and grants, VFR is helping the next generation of leaders pursue careers rooted in service. From high school seniors preparing for college to individuals entering police and fire academies, these programs provide more than financial support—they provide belief, encouragement, and a path forward.

To date, the foundation has contributed over $371,000 in grants, scholarships, and responder initiatives—directly supporting those who dedicate their lives to serving others.

Empowering the Next Generation: High School Scholarship Recipients

Each year, the VFR Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors who are children of first responders—students who have grown up understanding sacrifice, discipline, and service.

These scholarships help remove financial barriers and open doors to higher education.

More Than Financial Support — A Lasting Impact

Scholarships and grants do more than fund education—they create momentum.

They:

  • Build confidence in future leaders

  • Reduce financial stress during critical transitions

  • Reinforce a commitment to service-driven careers

  • Strengthen the pipeline of first responders and community leaders

For many recipients, the support from VFR represents something deeper—a community that stands behind them.

Why It Matters

Across the country, scholarships for children of first responders and those entering service careers play a critical role in workforce development and community resilience.

But what makes the VFR Foundation different is its personal connection.

These aren’t just programs—they are relationships. They are stories. They are investments in people who will go on to protect, serve, and inspire others.

Be Part of the Story

Every scholarship awarded and every grant distributed is made possible through the generosity of donors, sponsors, and supporters.

When you give to the VFR Foundation, you’re not just donating—you’re helping write the next success story.
