BUILDING STRENGTH AND CONFIDENCE FOR EMERGENCY RESPONDERS
In the fast-paced and demanding world of emergency response, physical and mental resilience are essential. Recognizing this critical need, the VFR (Veterans and First Responders) Foundation proudly introduces the Resilient Responders Martial Arts Program, hosted at the Kang Do Won Institute in Willoughby, Ohio.

This program is specifically designed to provide first responders with a healthy outlet for stress relief while fostering skills like focus, self-confidence, and physical fitness.
Why Martial Arts?
Founder David Knott created the Resilient Responders Program to empower first responders through the principles of martial arts. "There’s a lot that responders can learn from Kang Do Won training," says Knott. "The most important lesson is what we call ‘self-help in the moment’—a safe coping mechanism that builds resiliency and self-confidence, invaluable to their everyday work."
